Nestled right in the heart of downtown Rochester, the hotel’s chic, avant-garde design instantly caught my eye, and I found it to be a refreshing twist compared to many standard chains. The clean and spacious room provided all the essentials, with a mini-fridge and real glassware making a pleasant return to traditional comforts often overlooked these days. After a long day of enjoying the vibrant downtown shops and the exciting food scene, I appreciated the prompt room service, allowing my companions and me to dig into a lovely dinner without the hassle of dressing up. Another highlight was the Concierge Level, where complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails overlooking the city created the perfect atmosphere for winding down after a productive day. Pairing that with a few lovely wines from Southeast Minnesota's extensive collection made it feel like a luxurious indulgence, a true delight for a former food critic like myself. The friendly staff continually enhanced our stay, whether it was a warm cookie at check-in or tips on local eateries. Their hospitality coupled with a convenient shuttle to Mayo Clinic made our trip both comfortable and efficient. The DoubleTree by Hilton offered an excellent blend of style, comfort, and location, making it a worthwhile choice for anyone visiting Rochester.
